I'm going to share a link from Newsy that reviews the situation in a way that will let you draw your own conclusions (Newsy is one of my favorite, mostly impartial news sources).
I found this situation appalling. Planned Parenthood, despite the lies told by anti-choice Americans who think they have the right to judge others, is a life-saving resource for women who cannot support another child and who need affordable birth control, women who don't have health insurance and need their annual exams to make sure they don't have developing cancers in their reproductive system, women who need birth control for entirely medical reasons, and for men and women who need STD testing and treatment. Oh: they provide therapy for victims of sexual assault, too. And men can get cancer screenings/references there as well.
The reason originally given for the ending of funding to PP by Komen - because Planned Parenthood was "under investigation" - was a reason created specifically for Planned Parenthood. Otherwise, funding that Komen provides to to Penn State programs and multiple others would have been yanked as well.
Komen, you have a long way to go to win my support again.
