Take note, food and animal lovers: the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, Pittsburgh’s oldest and largest animal welfare organization, is hosting its 9th Annual Sample of Station Square fundraiser on August 1, beginning at 5:30pm.
The event is an exciting chance for people to explore and enjoy the sites of Station Square while sampling tasty menu items from a number of Station Square restaurants. With last year’s attendance numbers topping 500 people, the Humane Society hopes this year’s benefit event will be just as successful.
How does the sampler work? Anyone attending receives a “passport” that gives you access to special sampling stations set up in participating restaurants. Just a few fantastic restaurants taking part in this year’s sampler include The Melting Pot, The Hard Rock Café, and Buckhead Saloon. Plus, at 8:00pm, right after the sampler event, there will be a delicious dessert party on the Gateway Clipper.
There’s more: guests will also receive a complimentary raffle ticket to have a chance at winning one of many prizes, with additional tickets available for purchase to benefit the Humane Society. Last year people had a shot at winning one of more than 80 prizes.
But wait, what would this event be without some four-legged furry friends in attendance? The Humane Society will be bringing a number of adorable and adoptable animals looking for loving homes to Station Square.
All proceeds from the sampler will benefit the Humane Society and ensure the organization can continue to help the hundreds of animals currently in its care, so this is a fantastic opportunity for food and animal lovers alike to enjoy a night out and help a local nonprofit.
Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Have any questions or looking to purchase tickets? Head to www.wpahumane.org or call 412-321-4625, Ext. 248.
